Suez Egypt

A critical component for the power supply to the Egyptian metropolis of Cairo has been made fully fireproof by ZERO Fire Systems (ZFS). The installation was carried out with the help of local contractors.

  • The customer took advantage of the total package (advice, engineering, implementation and ITM) from ZERO Fire Systems for this project.
  • The project shows the international dimension of ZERO Fire Systems.
  • The remote-controlled stationary installation was created thanks to expertise from ZERO Fire Systems.

Jetty

An LNG terminal in the Suez Canal is the crucial link in the power supply for the metropolis. Liquid Natural Gas (LNG) is supplied for the power station next to a jetty. ZFS implemented a stationary extinguishing system for this, which can be fully operated remotely. This is necessary because two 300-meter-long FSRU ships are permanently moored next to the jetty.

LNG

These ships are supplied with LNG to supply energy to the power station, which supplies most of Cairo’s electricity. Due to the remote location, the Egyptian client chose ZFS for security. In the end, ZFS oversaw the concept development, engineering and construction for this prestigious project.

About ZFS
