Metal producer has made a major upgrade of all its fire protection systems. The upgrade was carried with the help of ZERO Fire Systems (ZFS) and has ensured that all extinguishing systems meet the highest standards.
Advice
Customised advice was provided following cooperation between the two parties. This resulted the implementation of an extra fire water pump to increase the extinguishing water capacity. The security of the ammonia storage and ethanol tanks was raised and Inspection, Test and Maintenance (ITO) ensured that the water-carrying extinguishing systems were fully in order.
Ecopol Premium
The company also uses Ecopol Premium. An environmentally friendly extinguishing foam concentrate that provides the highest level of fire safety. Just like ‘traditional’ fluorinated foams (AFFF foam), Ecopol Premium is rated with a 1A/1A extinguishing rating. Ecopol Premium uses ecological, synthetic components instead of fluorinated derivatives.
