A large-scale open water live test with fluorine free extinguishing foam has exceeded all expectations. Developed by ZERO Fire Systems (ZFS), this environmentally friendly extinguishing foam creates a tightly closed foam blanket on running saltwater even under difficult conditions.
Local Authorities
The test was conducted with the help of (local) authorities and the chemical company. The client, the safety region, Rijkswaterstaat (Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management) and the province attended the test. All parties were enthusiastic about the unique test. The test was only possible because the ECOPOL fluorine free foam does not cause any damage to the environment.
Tight foam blanket
The test showed that the fluorine free foam creates a very stable and dense foam effect on open seawater. Even better than previously thought. This makes ECOPOL ideally suited for use offshore, on jetties or firefighting boats.
