ZERO Fire Systems (ZFS) has fireproofed the storage tanks at the Tank Terminal in Amsterdam, in cooperation with the Belgian company Geldof (Engicon nv). Providing this extra fire protection was part of the company's large 'tank upgrade' programme.
Certificate
ZFS designed and implemented the extinguishing systems for various storage tanks and commissioned the systems after the implementation. Everything has been carried out under the supervision of the certifying body KIWA R2B. This guarantees the quality and safety of the extinguishing systems.
Environmentally friendly, cost effective and 100% representative commissioning
The live commissioning was carried out using the Test Foam Concentrate (Free Storm 1-3) specially developed by ZFS. The Test Foam has been specially developed as a ‘clone’ foam of the extinguishing foam used at the terminal. This allows ZFS to conduct a 100% representative commissioning test that doesn’t damage the environment and saves the company up to 80% of its costs.
